The Millipede Lead Bay Head Fixing Template
The Millipede is here!!! for far too long, headworkers have had to either measure all of their head fixings or guess the spacings for bay head fixings.
The millipede takes that headache away.
Tool width is 450mm so fits inside most lead bay widths.
How to use:
Hold the Millipede tool up to the top of you lead bay.
Partially nail the furthest slot on the right, then do the same on the left, effectively ‘hanging’ the template on the 2 fixings.
Now go through partially nailing all slots.
Remove the tool by sliding upwards and taking the tool away while nails are driven home.
For longer bays, leave the end nail partially nailed and retook the tool over the remaining nail to repeat the pattern.
Where the lead bay is tight against an abutment above, use the transfer holes instead and mark with a pen or other marking tool.
This tool is configured to mark out 75mm staggered rows, but also has a single row of 50mm transfer holes incorporated into the design.
This tool is manufactured from 2mm 304 grade stainless steel
