LeadBlend Oil-Bonded Lead Casting Sand

LeadBlend by MRUK Tools is an oil-bonded moulding sand designed specifically for lead casting.  MRUK Tools have worked with a top oil-bonded sand manufacturer to produce this ‘unique to market’ product.

Unlike traditional greensand, it contains no water, eliminating steam generation during pouring and reducing the need for venting.

The fine sand grade produces a smooth surface finish with excellent detail reproduction. 

The mix remains consistent in use and does not dry out through evaporation, allowing for repeated use without loss of performance for many many casting cycles.

Suitable for standard moulding techniques including flat casting, 2 part casting, slush casting and other typical Lead casting techniques. 

Not recommended for high-temperature ferrous metals like iron and brass, as excessive heat will degrade the binder.

This product works best with a parting powder like Dustrul 1 (available on this site).
